Vladimir Gubenko on the Streets of Pre-War Brest

Vladimir Gubenko’s collection comprises more than 300 drawings in which he shares his memories of Brest. The works span the period from 1940, when he first arrived in the city on the Bug River, through the early post-war years.
On 13 April, Vladimir Nikolaevich celebrated his 85th birthday. On the occasion of that anniversary, the Brest Gazeta asked him to speak about himself and to recall what Brest looked like in the last century.
